Testimonials

‘Everything about Hexton Playgroup I love- the care and need provided to each individual child is brilliant and I can’t recommend a better environment for my child’s early years.

The staff are amazing and really make you and your child feel at home and relaxed in the difficult time of starting pre-school and leaving a parent for the first time!

Also I love the way the children are encouraged to respect everyone and everything (no exceptions) and are always polite and friendly to one another.

Just a very fun, lovable and safe place to be!!’

‘My Daughter loved Hexton nursery! They provide exception care far above and beyond what is required and the activities they organise are the sort of thing that I would have wanted to do when I was a child.

The staff go out of their way to understand each child and genuinely care about their happiness. I cannot praise the nursery enough and would recommend to any parent or carer looking for a loving, thoughtful team of people to care for their little ones in what can only be described as an idyllic setting.’

‘Hexton playgroup is a fantastic, friendly playgroup, set in a church in beautiful grounds. My children have thoroughly loved being at Hexton, It is like one big family. The children are all happy, the staff are warm and fun loving. There are so many great activities for the children indoors and out.

I feel very privileged my children have been able to attend such a wonderful playgroup, Hexton is simply the best!! ‘

‘Well where to start, there are so many lovely things to say about this little hidden gem of a nursery. Firstly you have the beautiful setting of Hexton church and the surrounding countryside, which offers the children the opportunities to go for village walks and picnics. You also have the lovely garden which is used daily (weather permitting) for outside play and adventure.

It goes without saying that the staff Chloe, Wendy and Allison are fantastic and make Hexton playgroup a lovely, fun, happy place to send your child.

As the groups are only made up of twelve children the staff are able to spend good quality one to one time with each child.

My little girl found the whole nursery experience upsetting, but with the help and advice of the wonderful staff we were able to settle my little girl over a number of weeks without making the process too distressing for her.

If you are looking for a lovely little nursery with a homely feel and that can offer your child that little bit extra, please pay a visit here as this nursery comes highly recommended.’

‘With a fantastic reputation Hexton pre-school lives up to all expectations. A beautiful play based nursery with warm and caring staff who make both you and your child feel welcome right from your first visit.

With it’s amazing setting the children have space to be free to play as they wish for a large part of the session, yet Hexton still prepares your child well for school with it’s structured snack time, story time and group time.

Learning is subtly introduced at your child’s pace-it’s very clever how it is done and fascinating to watch as they make even the most mundane task seem magical and fun.’

‘My daughter loves Hexton playgroup! I heard about it through a friend and had her name down at another pre-school, however cancelled that one due to her settling in so well here!! She and I enjoyed the gradual induction process!

The class is small giving the children chance to be individuals and get to know each other well. Yet big enough to give them routine and structure!

The teachers are excellent! Kind, caring and most of all calm!!

My daughter has now increased her mornings each week, however she would attend at weekends if given the chance! This fills me with confidence when leaving her each morning, as I know she is learning new things, as well as having a great time!!’

‘My daughter is very very happy at playgroup and always looks forward to going. The staff are kind, warm hearted and enjoy working with the children. There is always a good variety of toys and activities that the children enjoy. My daughter enjoys it when Lola the playgroup dog comes to visit.

The settling in period is always tailored to each child and allows the child and parent to take their time getting to know their new surroundings.

If you are looking for a playgroup that goes the extra mile and where your child will thrive, Hexton is it!’

‘Hexton playgroup is a really wonderful experience to give to your children. The environment has such a calm and warm feeling to it. I loved dropping and collecting my little boy as he really enjoys coming here. He is so happy which makes myself happy knowing I can leave him with no problems. Even at the weekend he wants to go and gets upset when I tell him there is now school today.

This is obviously down to the really down to earth, friendly and caring staff Hexton has.

The children get to learn and understand things far better in a smaller group at this young age, and really benefits their learning skills.

I have really enjoyed watching my little boy grow here and he has really enjoyed his time.

I love the way the playgroup is set in the old church and the scenery is beautiful and gives a really calm feeling.

All the staff are helpful and caring along with giving anyone real support if you have any issues or worries. They are all so caring and you can talk to them very easily and they do help you.

I found it such a lovely place and will miss all of them very much! It has been such a wonderful experience.

Thank you’

‘What does every parent want from a playgroup/preschool? Friendly, clean,
fun well Hexton has all of this  plus much much more.
A child should start the long education journey in a comfortable way. Where
they feel relaxed and welcomed.
Both of my daughters have thoroughly enjoyed their times at Hexton.  Zara
has now moved on to school, but has fond memories of playgroup and the love
& support she received in her early years.
Iona leaves this year to start her school years. It will be a very sad
day…
They have both learnt amazing manners that I hope will stay forever, to be
thankful & always be kind are high on priorities.
I honestly can’t thank Hexton Playgroup, the whole team enough for
everything they have taught all of the children so very much.’

‘Well, what can you say about Hexton playgroup other than it’s fantastic, calm and the staff there have so much time to help the children and parents in any way needed. I travel 12 miles each way to bring my daughter here due to my eldest attending this playgroup 2013-2014 and it benefited her so much making her school transition so easy. My youngest who currently attends this playgroup finds it difficult to settle sometimes but the staff are so committed in making playgroup a positive experience, they welcome any new ideas we may have to make it easier.

If you haven’t thought about Hexton, well now is the time to pop along and see them. You’ll be overwhelmed with the dedication from staff to make our children’s playgroup time the very, very best.’

‘We are truly grateful to the wonderful team at Hexton playgoup. You have consistently offered an enriching, secure and loving environment for both of our children. Both Harvey and Frasier have clearly always wanted to attend the playgroup and have shown confidence when separating from me, showing how happy and secure they are at Hexton playgroup. The children and I love the wonderful activities provided, the creativity and encouragement for the children to show good manners and respect for others and so much more!! Thank you so much for all that you have given to our boys in their early years learning.’
